Mohammed Salem is a senior researcher and Director of the Studies Unit at the Dimensions for Strategic Studies (DSS) center.

With a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, Salem began as a political activist and analyst with the onset of the Syrian uprising.  Has written and co-authored numerous political and economic research papers and also served as a consultant and researcher on Syrian affairs for several Syrian study centers and international organizations. Has a certification as an expert in supporting entrepreneurship and developing minor and medium-sized enterprises from the International Trade Center. Serves as a consultant for various companies and international organizations such as the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), the International Organization for Migration, the International Trade Center, and the Cordoba Institute for Peace. A trainer in the fields of business management and political analysis; trained a number of researchers.
